The Ubiquitous High Performance Computing program  is a recent DARPA Initiative (see: http://www.darpa.mil/WorkArea/DownloadAsset.aspx?id=1795) to develop an Extreme Scale Supercomputing system prototypes by 2018.

Intel partnered with the University of Delaware (as well  as well as other organizations) (see: http://blogs.intel.com/research/2010/08/intel_and_darpa_collaborate_on.php) for the project.

I am currently heavily involved involved in the project. More information is TBD (perhaps).
